'02 KR vs. '02 FX4
blah
I'd prefer they keep the KR to the F150 Screw actuall. I have seen a few in the supercab, and it kindof pisses me off. They should stick to one style, and make it exclusive. That way any modifications or counterfiets out there will be spotted!!! The 250 and 350 guzzle too much gas, and unless you are pulling a trailor with horses, do you really need that much?

Well, that's the point. Only the people who are serious about towing opt for the 250/350 to begin with becuase of the fuel economy (and every where you look you see them). And if you go to the horse shows/expos, Ford is sponsoring them and only has a std 350 on display (which is old hat now). If they showed up with a KR Edition, they would sell like hotcakes. One of the reasons the GMC is used for the long hauls is the Denali Edition's seats are more comfortable than the Lariat's. If they put out a KR one, it could steal that market share back. The 150 as is, just can't tow a 4-horse gooseneck trailer fully loaded, that is why I want them to make a 350 KR for me. I would definetly buy one, and I'm sure others would too!
well, to counter one point here, the gas milage is actually comperable or better if you get the diesel which many people have who pull horses.
as far as being comperable to the scuba edition, i don't think so, the kranch f250/350 would get it's full use every day as you are basically buying an interior package where as the scuba is made for divers the horse people use their interiors every time they drive and with the long distances some of these people drive to horse shows and such the kranch interior would be wonderful, especially if they make those butt cookers variable which if they can do it on my vw they can surely throw the extra 10 bucks it would cost into the kranch.

pkagel...take your non-ford owning butt (until May 21st) back to your vw website.
besides, don't you have a pregnant wife and a nuclear power plant to run or something?

LMFAO, ya, ya, i'll sure wish i had the butt cookers in the 31. hey, maybe when they make that f350 dually kranch i'll own one also. that would be great on the tortise farm since they will be big guys and weigh 200lbs a piece. laurel wan't some horses also so that would be great to haul those around also.
For those of you who are interested, I recently came across two articles (from two different magazines) that compared the F150 against the Silverado, Tundra and Ram. While there are certainly numerous factors involved, the difference between the two articles were pretty amazing. Reading them though leaves me to think that one of the largest variables was the choice of model each tested -- Car and Driver tested the FX4 and Motor Trend tested the King Ranch. In the C&D article, the F150 ranked last (and got abused in the category of on-road comfort) and in the Motor Trend article (March 2002) the F150 ranked first (and topped the category of long-distance comfort).
yes they are 2 very different trucks for 2 very different people....although I think my mom and I got it backwards though....she is 53 driving the FX4 off-roader and never will she take it off-road...me I am 27 and I will be taking Tomas off-roading April 6th....don't worry I will have plenty of pic's for ya'll....and maybe I will squeeze in one of them!
