98f150 poormileage, squeaky steering

I have a 98 f150 4X4 with a 4.6 and a 5 speed. I need help with a squeaky front when I turn the steering wheel? I have very poor mileage 13mpg at best at 75mph empty? I read some about remapping the timing and resetting the computer. I bought this truck used so I dont know if anything been done to it. How do you reset the computer? I have a k&n air filter and a gibson cat back exhaust. Also at about 2500rpm I have a power steering noise like its low on fluid but it isn't??? PLEASE HELP

a little lubrication and new spark plugs will take you a long way my man...or woman...whatever the case may be....oh and to reset your ECM (aka computer) just disconnect the battery and let it sit for a while then reconnect....oh and synthetic oils also will help your milege a bit....

the squeak is from your power steering pump so the belt may need to be replaced. as far as milage goes, it sounds like you may have big tires on it causing your true and apparent gas milage to go down so it may not be as bad as you think it is but a chip would probably give you more power and better gas milage.
