anybody tried to refinish these seats?

after almost 3 years in a rain forest my seats are bad off. i didn't think they were that bad until i had to get my drivers seat bottom replaced (too much getiing in with wet clothes and waders) and WOW they have faded.

i found a place that has the kits for these trucks, they differ by year and model. i have ordered 2 kits and will post pics of before and after.

wish me luck!

There was a company that was discussed here several times -- I can't, off the top of my head, remember the name... Color Renew or something like that?...

They seemed to do fantastic work but, again, I can't find them... if you search a bit, I think you'll dredge it out. They were spraying a dye, to my recollection... the end result was VERY sharp and matched very well but, then again, if your seats are so far gone, maybe it's just time to get new covers.

I can't imagine anything getting soiled when the truck is getting used in Ketch! I really hope to make back out there to Quartz Hill soon... working in the muskeg is great fun -- especially with the black flies.

Ok it's done!

I got to tell y'all it was harder to make my mind up to do it then it was to actually do the job! It took about 2.5 hours start to finish; the seats are drying right now. I cannot believe how easy it was. I will post before and after pics when they dry.

I’m really happy with the way they turned out. The folks I bought all the supplies from were too helpful, I had to call them and ask a few questions.

Well done !!

I think this would be most useful information for our leather 'sticky'.
Any pictures and especially a detailed description of how you tackle the job will be very helpful for the many people that have constantly for some years now inquired about leather care through the forum.

Excellent point, Lenny (as always). Please, dalemac, post pictures, and discuss in detail what you did.

Don't suppose you have any "before" pictures to throw into the mix by chance?
