Whats it all coming to....!!!!

Well.....I just ordered what will be my 68th car.

Those of you that know my motoring history will be guessing it's another Bentley, Aston, or the like.

Unfortunately with the state of the conomy and gas prices it's a .......

1.4 Honda Civic.

I can't believe I just wrote that !!

However driving my expy over the mountains of mid Wales I can't stomach a fuel consumption of under 10 to the gallon any more.
Don't get me wrong I won't ever sell the King Ranch Expedition....after all I think the Civic might struggle towing a 26 foot trailer !!!!

For those visiting from the UK Honda Civic forum this is what we are talking about...
The King Ranch with its very very very special Castano leather interior.

Just get some Castano leather and some KR badges for the Civic! Take the Honda badges off, and do a KR conversion.

Actually....I do have some spare KR badges.....I just think the Castano would be a problem.

Anyone from Honda Motor Company looking in ??!!

Ford's done very well out of the King Ranch !

Just an idea !!

Give West Coast Customs a call (saw them on TV the other nite), maybe they will pimp out your Honda.

John -

I'm afraid that this is where we have to bid a farewell to you, sir. By purchasing a Honda Civic, you're no longer welcome to participate here within the KR forum. I will be spinning a separate forum for you - and you alone - to talk about your Civic, it's 'awesome' gas mileage, and it's incredible longevity.

Only kidding -- kind of. LOL!

Nah, to say I understand would be an understatement. Daveman, on the other hand, would probably still move to have you dismissed, dismantled, and quartered.

TRUE!

I'll second the motion to have him quartered though.

Lenny, I have to confess (I guess to all of you). :o My "daily drive" is a 1991 Honda Accord EX. I consider it to be the best car I have owned.

(And I grew up thinking Ford's were the only thing worth driving)!

Wonder what's going to happen to the "Big Three"? Things are beginning to look "tight", aren't they?

- Jack

Hi Brad...

Yep...got the car yesterday.

Up 'til yet I'm more than pleased. despite the fact that a lot of members of the UK Civinfo forum saying the 1.4 wouldn't ' knock the skin off a rice pudding' (Old English petrol head saying), it is really nippy.
In fact with the 6 speed box I am changing from 3rd to 6th with no problem.
I love the electronic dash and the rear seating is very versatile.

Don't worry though I won't lose my affinity to the KR !!

I feel you drifting further and further away from the core Americanized belief system that I once saw in you (i.e.: gas guzzler and muscle cars)... It's like we don't know you anymore, John.

So the 6.75 Bentley and 5.4 Expy don't count then !?

Once a petrol head always a petrol head.......

There are undercurrents here that have caused the current 'rationalistaion'.

I can't say more at the moment but all will eventully become clear !!

I was just smacking you around a bit. You know me; my middle name is Opportunistic.

Still have the Bentley? Have I seen pics of it?
