No KR Conditioner With Truck Anymore?

Does Ford not give a free bottle of conditioner with the King Ranches anymore? My truck did not have one.

Sorry, guys. That was only a perk back in 2001 and early 2002 only.

Those of us that bought some of the inital King Ranch F-150s recieved a complementary bottle of conditoner as well as a Castano Leather day planner or Portfolio...

As the venerable RP says the conditioner was given only as part of a complimentary package which was a very pleasant and unexpected surprise when we purchased the very first KR's.

There was a knock at the door one evening and a parcel was delivered including the conditioner and either a planner or a portfolio.
I was fortunate to get both. (Don't ask!)

Still have them in the original boxes...they must be collectors items now...Any offers !?

Only adding these here for those who may be interested in how the KR branding developed.
I think the ‘freebies’ were given out when Ford felt the KR special edition may not work…I think the success took them by surprise and they realised they didn’t need to give ‘hand outs’ !

2 more images on next post.
We are limited to 4 photos per post.......

Original advertising 'blurb' for the KR and the leaflet that was included with the conditioner.

Nice. I remember getting a leather keychain and canvas/leather carry-on when I bought my first Eddie Bauer truck in 1994. Then, in 1998, I mysteriously got a Ford blanket with their trucks on it for buying my 1998 F-150 Supercab.

Anyway, nice photos. I just ordered a couple bottles of conditioner from the Ranch. I have the company who makes it for KR, but thought I'd stick to the real McCoy. After all, how much cheaper can the original unmasked stuff cost on a $9.00 bottle?

With as slow as full size trucks are moving these days, they should be kissing customers butts as much as possible.

Here is a close up of the relevant information that Ford first supplied regarding the care of leather in the KR.

Just came across the original letter that came with the complimentary packaging of gifts.

It was good...They said they knew you, and no way were they ever going to put haggis on the menu for a foreigner such as yourself

I would love to have possession of your KR dayrunner... that bad boy is sweet!

I was fortunate when I bought my '02 KR, and found the previous owner. I was able to buy the freebies he received from him at a greatly reduced cost, compared to the KR Saddle Shop. He had only used the KR conditioner once, and his wife was reluctant to give up the portfolio, as she was a real estate agent, and used it all the time. It cleaned up well, as did the seats, and the rear bench castano leather had been replaced under warranty. I guess his dog, jumping in and out, had torn it pretty bad, while riding with him out to check cattle etc.
