Question

I just bought a 06 F150 KR and was looking at getting a good tuner and intake for it. I was looking at the Edge Evolution because of the ability to change it right away since I will be driving about 43 miles to work everyday now and still want to be able to tow my boat on the weekends too without having to do a lot of changing. I was looking at the AEM Brute Force due to it not needing the filter to be oiled when cleaning. I want to be able to get the best MPG for commuting and power when I want it and need it for towing.

Does anyone out there have any good advice for me?

Also has anyone tried the Edge and tried to mount the unit in the ash tray??
Thank you

I forgot to mention that Ford is going to put on the Rousch Duals for me so that would also have a slight affect on everything and it is the 5.4L engine.

You should really ask your question on the "Chips, Tuners & Programming" forum. There's more "experts" there than you can count who'll be happy to give you more advice than you thought you needed.

One thing though, if you're going to change the intake, you're probably going to want a "custom" tune. There are several threads in the other forum about aftermarket intakes "fooling" the Edge and making the truck run lean. The duals may add an additional confusion factor too.

I use the Edge on a stock truck and tow a 3600 pound trailer. I'm happy with it.

Regardless, the REAL expert on the tuners forum, who goes by the name of ASEMechanic, can give you solid advice - and can write a custom tune for a nominal fee.
