Has anyone put an Expedition console in their KR? All the ones that I have seen are in XLTs. I'd like to put one in and use it for a nav system.

 

Mike - didn't you do something like this? Someone bought an Expy console and went so far as to having the Expy console covered in Castano to match the interior in their late model KR. It looked fantastic to my recollection.

Anyways... no it wasn't me....I'm not that far on the Skagel meter.... although I do have an extra rear console for a pre-04 KR supercrew that I never got around to making into a cooler... (anybody want it?)....

If my memory serves me right, wasn't it Damiensupercrew who did this a few years ago?

I'm not sure if the new expy console will fit the 2004+ supercrews... I know before then though (pre-2004) there were a number of folks who did this.. there's a number of threads how they did it/where they obtained the consoles....

 

I browsed through the existing threads and found some valuable info, but I couldn't find one in a KR. I was just checking to see if the seats made a difference and if it would be better to go with a navigator's console for the wood grain. thanks

Pat - I believe it's the same as the rear H-D console except tan with a Castano lid... no pics & the thing is packed away in the back of my garage attic (not coming out till spring). I'm sure there are pics of the rear buckets & console in some of the galleries of 01-03 KR owners here if you haven't seen it before.....

 

Maybe it was pulling you out of lurk mode.... maybe it was question delegation as you seem to have uncovered the console mystery.

 

Thanks guys, I really like this mod. I'm going to try contacting LWN as soon as possible to get the ball rolling. Does anyone know where to find castano leather? I'd like the leathers to match.

 

I'd like to put a Navigator's console in for the woodgrain, any opinions? or the Blackwood?
