Arrow So I was researching leather care for the KR

I saw some old threads and I KNOW this subject has definately been beaten to death. I just want a one or two word summary of your favorite leather conditioner for the KR. As far as my conclusions I'm thinking Lexol. Remember keep it breif. What's your favorite?

Coincidentally I have just E mailed Brad about this.

You are correct about the subject being beaten to death...we've been talking about it for around 5/6 years !!!

However it is one of the most important considerations for those new to KR leather...which IS different from other leather., and so it is only natural that the question will constantly surface.

I have suggested to Brad that we make a 'sticky' of the subject and within it we will post a few of the more relevant threads that will lead direct to the most often posed questions.

If you can hold off a day or two we will see what we can do on those lines otherwise we will come back with direct answers.

PS

If it's any help I have always used the Saddle shop's own conditioner.

When the KR branding was introduced they worked closely with Ford on the products' formulation and as they were working solely with the Castano I have been more than happy with their product.

I have tried most other formulations too which work well on my own cars like RR, Bentley and Aston Martin.....but I still maintain the Saddle Shop conditioner is best overall for the Castano.

One thread that will provide a little more in depth is...

You start the thread... add all of the options that you'd like (up to 8 I think) and I'll tag the poll in...

I heard that the KR leather conditioner leaves a white filmy haze over the surface of the leather...and I definately dont want that...and isnt the soap just for cleaning?

If you put it on too heavy it can do that, but other conditioners will as well.

just curious, but what did you guys pay per bottle in that promo sale? Does anyone have a bottle or two that they might want to get rid of? I was about to order some the other day from the krsaddleshop.com and they said that it wouldn't ship until Setember 28th, 2006. Why would it take them so long to ship it?

They're probably out of stock... I can remember at least two other times that I've heard folks mention that they didn't have any to ship (ie: backordered).

The King Ranch Saddle Shop discount was a flat 20% off of anything in the store. Our next discount promo should be right around Christmas if the KR is willing to provide us with it again...

Thanks rock pick...you have given me lots of useful information...I know this is totally random, but what is everyone's ages? Im 24 Senior at FSU...by the way Im putting 1k on FSU + 3.5 points against Miami on Monday night. If anyone is into making money, take this bet asap. You don't have to bet that much of course, but I'm trying to pay some rent around here.

I ordered a couple of bottles of the KR Conditioner two weeks ago. They were $9.00 each plus shipping, came to around $25.00 total. I applied it the first time using a MF towel and then buffing it off with another MF towel. This didn't work out very well I thought. Today I reapplied it with a Mequair's Microfiber Even Coat Applicator and the results were outstanding. I had gotten some water stains on the front passenger seat and the KR Conditioner got rid of them. I let it dry for a few minutes then buffed it out with a clean MF towel.

I also cleaned the steering wheel. This was the first time I had cleaned it and it really had gotten dirty. Feels great to the touch now.
