Welcome! I hope you have as much fun with all of us in this forum as I do!

So tell us the rest of the story, how come the Titan dump? Not that I blame you, but there's a tale to be told!

Well yes there is a story. I don't want to bash any Titan guys or their trucks as that stuff is more of a hot button than Roe V Wade but the Titan is not what it seems in MY opinion. First off I had it into the shop for 4 things within the first 6 months. Brakes (off course), Drivers seat squeek, Complete carpet replacement due to missing section in the center console, and my rear end had low oil and the overall design of the cover was wrong from the factory. No cost to me with these items, just my time. The other thing that sent me out the door was Nissans Horse$h!t sales pitch with all the name brand items on your truck that aren't really what you think. The Rockford Fosgate stereo is really Panasonic and Clarion. Not that the system sounds bad but it is a lie what they tell you. A lie they use to sell the truck. Same with Rancho and Dana. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice...... well you know. If you want to go 0-60 in a hurry and don't mind the noise, poor ride, Bland interior, and BS sales info then I guess the Titan is for you. I WILL NEVER own another Nissan. Not trying to bash, just giving my 2 cents. Terry.

Wow, didn't know about the bait and switch tatic on the sales side. How can this be legal and why isn't there a class action suit about it already? (We Americans love to sue!) But I've heard before about the noise and ride issues, yet Nissan continues to sell a ton of them to people who are fanatical about them. Ah well, I'm fanatical about my KR also, as most people on this forum are. But I think we're on the right side of the "best truck" debate!

Well people on the Titan websites have talked about a lawsuit. Nissan comes back by saying that things they use as selling points like Rockford Fosgate are "designed" by not made by. The only thing that Rockford Fosgate has on the stereo is the name. The sub says Rockford Foster, made in Mexico. Well not my problem any more.

Hi Guys....
Can we keep this thread for the new members to register their interest and for the odd 'welcome' for them from previous members?

Your discussion can easily make an interesting separate thread.

Thanks

Lenny

C'mon John, this thread has been hijacked numerous times for a little side conversation. A lot of us are guilty, including RockPick and yourself! (see your posts back on 12/9). I agree this thread should be kept as clean as possible to the original intent and if a topic is introduced that invites several member's discussion it should be taken to another thread. But this sticky is sometimes the first intro most new members have into our forum and they are more likely to check it first. A little leeway here, please...

The only reason I asked is that I had a conversation with Brad just the other day about leaving this thread as a sticky until at least we had 250 new posts and 10.000 views.
That led me to realise that the posts were not really an accurate indication of how many people were active members.
I wasn't being 'funny'...it's just that seeing several continuing posts brought that to mind.

PS.....Yes, Guilty as charged !!

Welcome to both our 250th and 251st 'members' !

I think it has gone too far to count how many members that have actually registered here...it would be a tedious task unless someone has got some time on their hands !

With the odd 'welcome' post etc. it probably means there are hopefully in excess of 200.

Quite an upturn since the KR first appeared in 2001 and there were about 10 of us here, which I vaguely seem to remember increased to a maximium of around 30 when we last ran a poll like this.

When you imagine that those who post here are probably a very small percentage of those who actually run KR's, and those others either aren't interested in the forum activity, or are plain unaware of it, it makes you realise how well the King Ranch must be doing with their Castano leather !

When you see how positive the views are here about the KR branding it makes you wonder why either Ford or the King Ranch couldn't mention the web site, and this forum in particular on some of their information.
Perhaps that little hang tag that attaches to one of the seats when the vehicle is new ?

Anyone from the KR or Ford watching ??!!
(Though I think Ford have probably got more important issues on their minds at present !)

Owner of a 2005 copper KR, 2WD, A.R.E. matching shell, Rhino sprayed liner, chrome door locks, chrome mirrors, "Ford" valve stem covers, "F150" license tag trim, custom license plate “BHNDPOKY” (I plan to install a 2006 F150 Harley bullet grill when it arrives)

An awesome truck! I have been more pleased with this vehicle than any vehicle I have every driven for everyday transportation.

I waited a year for this truck. Wanted a KR when the 2004 was introduced, but it was not available from FORD. After 6 months dealer said Ford would never make a KR again so I ordered a Lariat. One week before it was delivered Ford announced a KR would be available in 2005. I canceled the Lariat in Feb of 2005 and waited until the dealer was allowed to order the KR package on June 11, 2004. No build date was available from FORD. The first KR in our area was my truck and it was delivered to the dealer on Nov 13 2004.

It was worth the wait!

Well done...you made the right decision.
I had one of the first KR's in the old body style.
Then when the new body came out I wanted that with the KR package but as you say it wasn't available....although at least I did know it was coming along.
Anyway I actually had 2 Lariats in the meantime, but still wanted the KR interior.
By the time it came out however the Expedition was available with the KR package and as we needed the seats, because several lots of friends were visiting from the UK, that's what we got.

Welcome along anyway !
