Wow. I need to post some new pics. I've added tint to the front windows, billet antenna, new BFG 285/70/17 rubber and Edelbrock shocks. Hint to all KR owners: lose the stock shocks and rubber immediately. Ride improvement and 4x4 traction is much improved. Wish I'd done it sooner.

Hey, thanks for the pics. Might be buying one, and needed to see what it would look like in black. Dealer is buying at an auction, and I won't be able to attend. Thanks again.

The black ones are VERY VERY VERY nice... and not very common from my experiences around here...

I think that we only have about 4 members of the King Ranch Owners Club that actually have black...

Keep in mind though, black is a beast of a color to keep looking good...

RP...

Thanks for showing my KR. I'm not sure if black is harder to take care of, but I do know that the Galveston Bay seagulls know how to create bird poop that will stand out regardless of your truck's color

Just an opinion from a guy who is **** retentive about swirl marks and spider marks....

Well... and seagull poop too. LOL!

Bad news. Dealer didn't get the black KR, so no luck there. Thanks for the info. though.

Sorry Mike...

I know that there seem to be a few floating around out there in used truck land... keep your hopes up and your eyes open. Another one will show up soon!

this might actually be a good thing.....

for some reason i could see this one moving into a discussion about how to properly keep a black kr clean. and of course there would be lots of proper references to meguiar's......

I have a 2003 Black KR and I absolutely love it! I do have one minor irritation and I was wondering if anyone had this problem as well. I have a rattle coming from the front passenger door. Has anyone had this problem, and if so, what did it turn out to be?

By the way, I'm new here, so I'm not exactly sure how to go about "joining" the KR Owners Club.

Thanks!!

Welcome to the site. It's a great place. Good people, lots of info, etc.

I had a problem with a rattle, turned out the inside door panel was loose. Secured the screws, there's only 2 or 3, problem solved. Hope this helps.

Check one of the top threads for the club. Enjoy!

Thanks LINYScrew. I checked that out, and when I tighten the screws at the bottom of the door panel, they won't quit turning. It looks like they screw into some plastic inserts. I guess I'll be making a trip to the dealer. It's definitely the door panel vibrating and hitting the metal part of the door.
