Console

I had to pay a visit to the local Ford Dealership yesterday about the console on the ranch truck. It seems that right were you place your arm on the console developed a stain. It was just from seat and whatever was on my shirt sleeves. I cleaned the stain with Lexol cleaner and it caused the spot to get bigger and lighter. I then conditioned the spot , It never got any better. I ahd a question abotu the seats and stopped to ask. They explained to me that the seats scuff easy from anything to belts to starched blue jeans. To make a long story short, will have a new console lid installed next week when it comes in. The truck is still under warranty.

That's useful information. Mine is one month old and I've got some concerns about the exact same thing. Hell, I lay a towel under my forearm now so as not to spot the console.

First I need to learn to spell. I will do the same thing when the new lid comes in. Have started using a towel on the drivers seat also, to prevent scuffs from happening.

whoa there.

let's take a step back and explain this thing about starching jeans. That is just wrong. Its about as wrong as neon undertruck lighting and fuzzy dash covers.

What's wrong with starching jeans? it's part of the Texas constitution.

I hope that works out for you Damon but, I bet they won't let it go because it's a warranty issue.

I begged them for my old steering wheel after they replaced mine under warranty but they couldn't give it to me because Ford requires that the parts be shipped back to them for QA/QC stuff.

just food for thought....
Wow... that's not to expensive... well, relatively speaking on Ford Parts it's not.

Thanks for that PN Mike. That's EXCELLENT data to have...

The new lid has come in, but I have not had time make it over to the dealsrship to change it out. Hopefully it's supposed to rain this week, then I will be able to get off work early to make it by there . I pretty sure the lid goes back to Ford but I will ask?. What is reallly nice now is that I don't worry about messing up the old lid now.
