New owner with a seat question

I just bought a 2003, Estate Green, Supercrew, 4X4, King Ranch F150, and I love it. I found out the Estate Green was not going to be offered in 2004, as well as the King Ranch, so I made my move.

My question is this: The seats are much harder/firmer than I'm used to - you don't sink down in them at all. I've had the truck a few days now, and I may be getting somewhat used to them, but I was wondering if the seats would soften-up after a while?

Thanks,

Mr. Twister

Twister...

First, welcome to our clan. Glad to have you aboard...

To answer your question...

Yes, the seats are considerably more firm than the standard lariat. I think the consensus on why they are firmer is so that the leather will not stretch as bad...

Also, there are rumors floating around that the King Ranch **WILL** make a late debut in the 2004 production year and almost certainly in the 2005 year.

Again, welcome... feel free to ask anything!

Mr. twister, first of all welcome to the clan.

Secondly, I too was concerned about the firmness of the seats when I first got my 2003 KR but 100 miles from town on my first road trip the Missus and I were in love. These seats are the most comfortable of any vehicle we have ever owned.

Enjoy your new ride.

Thanks for the response. I'm sure the seats will be fine - I'm getting used to them. I really love the truck, and I get a lot of compliments on it.

Thanks again,

Mr. Twister

Mr Twister,

Welcome to the Ranch, I'm sure you'll find almost everything you want to know about your truck and of course a few things that you have no interest in but hey, it's free...

Glad you joined up with the madd house...

Got pictures of the jewel ready yet? BTW, I'm kind of like a drifter, I come and go but I stay a while when my gold doesn't run out or if RockPick doesn't steal it...

Later,

~DM~

Thumbs up Welcome to our club

I found the best way to break the seat in is just simply break down and give it to a friend or family member who is 300Lbs+ . I have given all 3 of my King Ranches to my friend Jason for a week he weighs in at a whopping 339Lbs. The seats are extremely comfortable for my 135 Lb frame after that.
Another alternative that works is, kneel on the seat and knead it with your knees a few treatments like that really make a differance.

I hope you enjoy your new truck and welcome to our club. We are one big happy family.

If you're in the Dallas, Texas area you can borrow our friend Doug - he tops 400; however, much of it is not flab! He has deadlifted a 390 in the engine compartment of a Mustang!!!

Pffft... what are you talking about? I've already stolen it all... Do you really think I'd 'ID' real gold and diamonds for you after you told me where you had found it BEFORE you sent pictures? LOL!
