Hey RP...How's about this for an idea...and you won't be letting anyone down....far from it.

When someone gets to 500 posts on the KR forum, you present them with a body colored Ford Oval.
When they get to 1000, they get Arizona Gold....and when it's 10.000 present yourself with a Platinum one !!!

OK, seeing how I didn't guess it, can I still get you to do mine? I would my-self, but with all of the coffee I drink, it stays in my system for a month before it wears off and I have shaky hands!! Let me know seriously and I will mail mine to you. I don't drive my truck (except on nice weekend days), so it won't be seen naked. Email me and let me know.

I did my mom's emblems this weekend and that envirotex stuff does smell very bad, but didn't seem to affect me like it did you Rock.

Mom's emblems turned out awsome. In two days I will be putting them on her truck. her next mod is the tailgate handle which I will be painting and also adding the remote lock to so she will never have to touch the tailgate with a key again.

"Happy Birthday Mom"

Nah, the envirotex wasn't what had me high as a kite. It was the touch-up paint. I didn't use spray paint to do my emblems... I hand painted them. Geesh... I can still feel that buzz. LOL!

ok, I installed mom's front emblem, but because her battery was dead and she pulled it in the garage to far I couldn't get a picture.....I still haven't taken off here tailgate emblem....I used mine to modify to a white emblem.....if I get out of the Chrysler plant 1.5 hours from my home I will do it tonight and take the pictures.....her battery is recharging as we speak......oooo.....and I can get a picture of her truck in the snow......it has never seen snow before.....or rain.....or...well, pretty much anything....she has broken 2k on it though....only by 32 miles though.

and can you believe it......my mom doubted me......she wasn't sure if they would look good, but alas.....she loves them.

15 months, but you have to understand something about my family first.....we love our vehicles.....we are californians and have a very deep rooted passion for automobiles......we like to preserve the ones we love......so the truck is the vehicle my mom loves so she will not drive it in bad weather conditions, if there is salt on the roads, if it is going to have to be left for more then and hour in a parking lot with other vehicles, in the sun or near anything that could potentially cause harm to her baby....oh yeah that and none of us can have just one car.......we absolutely must have at least 2.

That is totally understandable!!! I have 7 vehicles and are the same. My 03 KR has 3200 on it, (too many imo, I drove the he*l out of it when I bought it in Oct.02), I have a vehicle that I drive daily to put miles on and for weather issues, I have a 1985 Caravan in storage and it has 34,000 on it original, an 97 Grand Caravan we only use for vacation trips and it has 37K on it, I am constantly asked why do you not drive them, I say the same, they are to be preserved.

Thanks, I am glad somebody besides my family understands.

I took pics of moms emblems last night, but she won't let me post them. I bought her all the KR beige trim for her truck for christmas and had the dealership take off the black stuff and put the beige stuff on....well, in doing so they broke two of the peices and had to re-order.....they have the two pieces, but because of the salt my mom hasn't taken her baby down to Toledo to have them installed....long story short (I know to late) her tailgate still has the black plastic and you can see that the sides have the beige and that they don't match.....looks like crap I agree with her, but I told her that you guys would understand.....she said no that she didn't want her truck posted like that......sorry pkagel......our mom is a neat freak remember?

I can tell you this.....they turned out awsome and I can't waite to have her tailgate handle painted white too.

So we agree on two things. the have a car to look at idea!! Also, the idea of replacing that ugly grey plastic. When I bought my 01 Supercrew, I purchased all of the KR Arizona Beige pieces ($$$$) and replaced all of the grey. Side bed protectors, tailgate protector, rear step pads on back bumper, front valiance, rear behind rear wheels on bottom of rear . The only thing I did not get to was the step boards. NOBODY with a KR wanted to part with the running boards ((RIGHT ROCKPICK)). After I traded the 01 Supercrew for the 03 KR, then I saw a few sets of the KR boards for sale! Just my luck. Anyhow, I think the beige makes the truck look so much better!!
