Whew... scared me there...

If it took 40 hours to install... I was hoping that you could operate a nuclear missle silo or two... LOL!

Especially when you look at the console I have been using for some years.

Purchased ages ago from Walmart for using in rental cars in the years before I decided it really made financial sense to buy rather than give Alamo about $5000 every time I came across to the States!

I think the time has come to get on with a similar effort the next time I come across.
Can any of you guys and gals across there find out what a suitable console would cost from a dealer ?

Apart from the leather problem is it a do it yourself project?
What about the disc changer in the bottom of the console?

Look at the pic and see why I need to do this !!!

Lenny had a question ...

OK, Lenny, From the dealer about $600.00+ buying it all seperate, they do not come from the dealer assembled. Easier to go to LWN in Oklahoma for 120.00 + shipping or to a juk yard as both would be complete.
It can be a do it your self project, there are instructions on how to do this your self on the "other truck site". I opted to have my dealers body shop di it for me for a small price so I would not putt my neighbors through the agony of me yelling profanities at the top of my lungs!
If you currently have a disk changer in the supercrew console, you only need to change the plastic bracket to the expy one, I may have one I could sell for a small price as I know have the 6 disk radio in the 03. Easy to swap.
I am not going to tell you you need to do it, it's all up to you. I had the expy console in my 2001 and when I had them pull it out of the 2001 and I purchased the 03, I tried to live with out it and couldn't. I like all the extra cubby holes and such. I hate waisted space. So in my opinion, I like it alot and felt they should have put them in the Supercrew to begin with or atleast an option. Hope this all helps.
