Soon to be F150 Owner in TX and new to this forum

Ahoy everyone,

Moved to TX in 2011 for work. I started my truck search shortly there after. I looked at the chevys, dodges, and lastly the fords. IMO the chevys felt huge, and i don't like they don’t know circles don’t match squares..lol interior was alright thou. the dodges, interior was good, and drove nice, but mileage was completely horrible (hemi). At first i was skeptical with Ford, however my dad always had Ford, and there earlier products the interiors felt ‘plastic-ly’ I was very impressed by the ride and he feel of the interior.

So March 9th I placed the order for my truck, 2012 Blue Flame XLT SuperCrew 6.5’ bed EcoBoost OffRoad, as this is my first order I did learn to order a truck early on in the week.
I do have a couple mods planned and once I get my truck and time to work them, i’ll be posting them up.

Howdy.....

I didn't grow up in Texas either. Don't worry -- after a few years the natives won't even seem unusual anymore.....

The day you bring it home. Tell the Dealer that you don't want them doing anything to it, don't wash it, wax it, or anything. Do that yourself and do it right. Saves you having issues from the start due to an inexperienced/uncaring lot attendant.

I can't agree with your Texan brother more... most dealerships use the lowest cost, least experienced person on the lot to 'detail' vehicles. There are exceptions but, not too many.

It only takes one dolt to trash (or severely impair) a painted finish. To properly correct it, takes an experienced individual and the right tools/chems.

Welcome to the site and congrats on the new truck!
