Captin Chairs and Center Console

My 02 came with the bench seat, and Im wondering if its possible to get a OEM Console and a OEM passenger captin chair and just keep the driver seat thats in there now. Is this possible to get these two parts and pull out the bench part of the seat and install the console and the captin chair?? How much would this cost?? Could I get it from my local Ford Dealer and will they install it?? Or can I install it myself?? Thanks!!

you cant just "get" a passenger seat. Each peice is separate. like the bottom frame, back frame, bottom pad, back pad, bottom cover, back cover, latch, lumbar assy, ...... probably almost 100 parts. I think at work we tried to price a driver seat for something a few years back and it came up around $2000 for a seat. You will have to go used. But also if you swap between a split bench and cap chairs you will have to get new carpet and also tap some holes in the floor of the truck, and fill in some that will be left over.

try the junk yard and see if they will work out a swap for your current interior to lower your price

if you have an XLT you should have the 40/60 with fold down arm rest.

Is that set up THAT much different from captains chairs?

I have the 40/60 with armrest and have drive one with captains chirs. They don't fell much differnt when you drive them.

Make your own bucket

Why don't you cut-down tour 60 seat and make it into a bucket seat? The seat back is the same so you will need to buy a new OEM passenger seat pan, longer leg and seat adjustment handle. The rest of the job requires you to take the seat apart, cut the 20-section foam to make a bucket seat bottom, remove the center section from the upholstery, stitch the side to the 40 section...put everything together and....you now have a bucket seat just like OEM. Next get a Expy console from LWM and you are set. Cost is about $350.00.

Check this site for pix of this mod installed in my '99 supercab

Glad you found the gallery. The seat mod is the best thing I've done to the truck. It really makes a tremendous difference inside.
