Getting closer.
I'll have to check the brackets on the new XLT and XL and ask around.
I agree about the power stuff.

I bought my XLT Sport flareside (2001) 5-speed, sliver with all the options listed so far the 3.55s, power everything, sliding rear window, 17" tires the 10 spoke rims and had the stainless steel tube steps installed by the dealer for a total cost of $19,220 I love the truck and get many complments especially the color (silver) as well as the shine (from Zaino polish)

All 5spds have a tach.
If you have the digital odometer. You have a tach you just have to access it. With key in ignition, hold down the odometer reset, turn key to the on position don't start, when you see test in the odometer reading do not let go, START THE TRUCK, now let go. Now you can cycle through codes, speed, kilometers, mileage, fuel, and tachometer.
Someone had posted this before from a Mustang page. I never went and bought a tach.

Here is two of the URLs
The two that I have straight away :
http://www.mustangworld.com/ourpics/News/99hec.htm
http://www.mustangworld.com/ourpics/fcar/dtcodes.htm
Also you could search on DTM* ( Dealer Test Mode ), or isntrument cluser diagnostics, these might show more, btu these 2 URLs seem to have all the info that is needed, as for what all the things are that you scroll past.

As for the seats...
I do not recall who posted it, but is you search on seat*, you should find the memeber who put in a pair of after market seats.
They were real nice looking seat, cannot recall if they were leather or cloth, and seem to have that same look as semi seats.
I think this was paired with a exp console mod.
The seats came with the brackets ( after I think 2 trys ) that bolt to the seat bolt locations in the floor, or something like that.
I don't have that thread right off the top of my head.
