I'm pi$$ed. I've seen discussions concerning door cracks & roof cracks, but how about cracked dashboards?

I got in my truck after work yesterday, glanced at my dashboard, and discovered about a 1" crack in the plastic above the tach. I think it must have appeared during the day setting in the parking lot. It looks like it may even propagate further over time. I only have 35K on my '98. I don't see how it could be caused by the sun, it looks more like a stress crack.

Are these common? I'll take a picture and post it later.

 

All I can say is that it sucks. This is the first I seen anything on a dash crack.

 

I always thought these dashes were safe from cracks. Are the dashes the same in the 98's as the 99's?
