Febreeze rules!
Febreeze rules!
For those of you who don't know, there is a deoderizer called Febreeze that can take the worst of smells out of almost any vehicle. I had a cigarette smell in my truck from hauling people around who smoke. I don't smoke. And after a few squirts of Febreeze on the fabric... no more cigarette smell. Now it smells refreshing and clean. The Febreeze smell goes away after awhile, but it takes the bad smells with it. Just thought I would throw my 2 cents in about Febreeze.
Febreeze
I sell Febreeze and other odor masking agents and there are better ways to get rid of smells. Don't get me wrong Febreeze works but your smell may come back as Febreeze is a sugar based product which wears off over time. There is a cheaper way to make the truck smell better. Put fabric softener sheets under your seats. Many used car dealers do this to eliminate odors.
when i played baseball in hs i would be nasty and then get in my truck, and so about every two weeks i cleaned with it and it worked everytime. had to clean it so the ladies would not run away when they opened the door
My mom hit a skunk once in my dads car and drug it for about a mile
Needless to say, the car absolutely reeked. It was disgusting. Dad emptied an entire bottle of Febreeze into the car. He sprayed it into the intake for the A/C, all over the interior, into the vents, etc. After a while the smell went away. It works wonders, but i don't really like the aftersmell it leaves behind.

I went to Talledega, AL for a race and spent 4 days in the back of my truck. I did not realize how bad the camp fire smoke was till I got back to VA. I went in the house took a shower came out to unpack and the smell smacked me in the face. I sprayed Frebreeze in the cab for a week. Now when someone gets in they say my truck still smells like new. No frebreeze smell. This was two years ago!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ewwww, grosse!!!!!
I sprayed my shoes the other day with Febreeze and let it soak in and dry and they smelled ok. Then i went to the gym and sweated all in them and now they smell like dead gerbils. Grosse!!! LOL, its even worse than it was before.

for what it's worth, the fabric sheets also work great in gym bags to tame the gym guy smell. i also like to use them in the dresser drawer at home and they work great to clean glass with as the anti-static stuff in them keeps stuff from sticking to the glass.
There's also another stench killer at the auto parts store, it comes in a small clear spray bottle and a has golden ret. pup on the label. It has a fairly strong scent of cheap hairspray for a day or two, but fades as well as the febreeze does. It works so well, that it neutralized a scented auto interior spray I put down a few days later!
It leaves no smell at all once it's done drying.,,,,98

The fabric softener trick does work. I put one in each door pocket and two under the seat. The fabric smell went away, and when I get in my truck now, it smells new again! The "NEW" smell is back! WHOOO-HOOOO!!!
