Angry only 1 week old and front seat already worn out

Only had my 2002 Supercrew a little over a week and already this on the front seat. It appears to already have "worn out". This is the front driver’s seat. Leather captains chairs. This is right in the center of where cheeks hit. Cannot believe it's already showing wear. It is not all the way through yet, but still, this is ridicules
PLEASE tell me this is not normal or typical of Ford Leather.

No one but me has been in the drivers seat (cept the dealer), and I've had nothing in my pockets that could have caused this.

Should Ford replace this under warranty?

That looks like a cut to me. A good dealer will just let Ford eat it and replace your seat. Good luck.

Thumbs down Eric-

That doesn't look remotely like wear. That looks like a sharp/hard object gouge. Many people have access to and sit in vehicles before the owner gets in.

Problem is I watched them unload the truck off the carrier. I've have leather furniture for years and know to make sure to check my clothing for anything that could cause problems with the leather.

It may have been there when I picked it up and just not noticed it. Thought I looked it over pretty good. I may have missed it in the euphoria of the new truck I just saw it when I did my first thorough cleaning of the truck. Washed it inside and out.

I'll see what they say tomorrow.

found hole at 15000 miles in drivers seat

I knew I never had any sharp objects in my pockets. I stuck my finger in the hole and found a spring sticking straight up. Obviously, every time I sat in the seat, the end of the sharp spring cut into the cloth and foam until it cut through. I'll post another message when I find out if Ford will cover it under warantee.
