Putting in carpet

i just got an f-150 XL regular cab sport 2 weeks ago. it is the base model with only the sport package as an option. my truck did not come with carpet, and i was wondering if anyone had any solutions to putting some in or if anyone has done this themselves yet. i am about to install a full stereo system so i wanted to get this done when i do it because i will be taking out the seats when i do this more than likely.

The carpet is no big deal, i did it in my Trailhead Ranger in about 2 hours, (had same floor as my 01 sport) Pulled the seats, trim peices, and them out it came.... carpet went in in reverse order.... simple as 1,2,3.
good luck

I used Factory carpet from the dealer and I really cant remember what the charge was, they gave me a very good deal on it. I have heard that you can go to most truck parts sites and get as good carpet and sometimes better. Good luck

I had the carpet replaced in my 2001 Ford, and I seem to remember it running around $400 to $500, installed. I replaced it because I was unhappy about a few corners on the way the factor had installed it.

carpet install

Go to www.accmats.com. They have one piece kits in several different colors that are already formed and fitted for your truck. They quoted me a price of $110 delivered. Supposed to be easy to install.

Thanks jeremy672,

I've been looking for such a place as well.

(BTW... the link has a typo in it. The "dot" at the end.)

Later... XLT_D

LilBuddy....

Check out www.JCWhitney.com . Not sure about the prices, but they have a big selection of custom carpet for all types of vehicles. I installed some in one of my vehicles a few years back and it was very easy to do.
