Loose, rolling noise...possibly inside floor console?

I have a 2008 F-150 King Ranch SuperCrew with the 5.4L Flex Fuel V8. I have an noise I cannot identify and was hoping someone may have had a similar experience and/or could point me in the right direction for tracking this thing down. There is nothing loose in the cab. I have taken all personal effects out and the noise is still there. I hear it when first accelerating away from a stop or and when coming to a complete stop. It's inertially caused. It sounds like something rolling (or maybe even swinging) back upon accelerating and rolling (or swinging) forward when braking. I can kind of feel it in my feet when it happens. I have taken the cover off the shifter portion of the floor console and the side panels off the lower left and right forward portion of the floor console and cannot identify anything loose or disconnected.

For an idea of what the noise sounds like, imagine a golf ball loose in the lower door panel side pockets. (Obviously not the cause. I have checked.)

I have scoured this forum as well as many other webpages with no luck. Hoping to avoid the cost of paying my body shop to dismantle and diagnose this problem. Thanks in advance for your help.

Found It!

I took it to my body/repair shop. It took us a while, but we traced it down. Some .44 mag cartridges had evidently gone down the defrost vents on the dash and made their way through the ducts/vents all the way down to the floor. We had the seats out, consoles dismantled, and carpet pulled up and were able to fish them out. There were four or five and they would roll inside the hard plastic air ducts by the driver's feet along the transmission hump. Hope this helps!

Wow. This would have come in handy had I not sold mine already.

I agree with the sound being in the floor ducts. I took my console out and it still made the sound, only louder. I put everything back together when I discovered it was in the vent for the feet for rear passengers bc I didn't have time to pull that out. Mine sounds like it's coming from the passenger side though.
Whatever is in my vent isn't magnetic because I tried sticking a magnet down by the vent as a temporary fix. lol.
I wonder if mine is a casing as well bc it definitely sounds like a barrel shaped object rolling around.

FWIW, the guys at my shop suggested putting a mesh screen over the ends of the air ducts that run along the floor and terminate under the front seats, to keep loose items from making their way up there in the future. That didn't end up being the cause of my problem, but something could potentially roll in that way too.

I have this same problem but in my 2001 f150, mine is coming from the passenger side and i only hear it at certain times. Do you think that something is up in there like what happened to yours?
