Full Interior Makeover

Ok so i posted most of this in my mod thread, but i figure for the interior fanatics, i could get some more feedback here..

I bought a 99 F150 XLT 2WD, Oxford White, super clean for 228k miles
And despite what anyone else says, i didnt like my interior... the clean white truck with the boring charcoal/black interior just didnt work for me... so i started painting... and painting... and more painting, and im still not done.. but here's what ive done so far.. let me know what you think, and i accept haters, just be respectful is all i ask
old

new

and the old lighting, got a different set up now, will take pics tonight

i wanted the textured look still, so i just washed them with soap and water.. considering going for the smooth look and sanding them first. its up to you

Love it!

I have an '05 that's white and black on the outside and have thought about doing the same thing with the interior, except that I really just don't have the time to let the truck sit while I do it. If and when I do it, I probably won't do as much white (just afraid of the constant cleaning I will have to do, since it is always dusty on the inside). You definitely need to get rid of the rest of the grey on the dash and get yourself a nice set of black and white seat covers from Wet Okole seat covers, someone correct me on the spelling.

1. cleaning isnt that bad, just keep the armor all wipes in the truck.
2. my truck was only down for less than a day when i did this.
3. i dont have the time to pull the dash apart and get the rest of the grey painted yet.
4. wet okole seat covers are way out of my price range.

I did pretty much exactly the same thing but i did ALLL the inside. Changed it from grey to gloss black. Was really easy to do. I used this black paint from walmart and omfg what a difference and it worked good too except on the vinyl part on the armrests on the doors, don't know what i am gonna do with that yet.

The 97-2003 model F150s are the best for interior painting. I had a 2000 previously and painted alot of the interior pieces to match the outside. Looks Good!!!

FordGuy: thanks man, if i had done the whole process all at once it took me about 2 days, but i had to put it back together to go to work so i only did 3 coats one day then 2 more coats the next til i was done. it has peeled a little bit in some areas where its been hit by something... and silly string tears it all off FYI haha... but i redid 3 or 4 pieces with sanding and light grey/whtie primer then more paint and 2 clear coats and its lasted 2 weeks with no peeling or anything.. eventually ill try to do some sort of a write up if someone wants.

2fast4u2: i know how you feel, if you dont have the time, but have the money, they make full trim kits in tons of different colors including wood trim and carbon fiber, if that sounds interesting i can find some links for you

What did you use for the vinyl of the door arm rests?

I didn't put any clear coat on mine, if it ever starts to chip, I'll just go get it professionally done.
