2010 F-150 Custom Interior
I bought Black leather with blue stitching seat replacement covers for my 2010 xlt from leatherseats.com and a 2010 F-250 center console. How much you think it woud cost for some one to install the leather seats. and do you think it will be worth it and look good?
do the seats your self its only a few bolts...its really simply some what of a PITA cause where the bolts are located...but do it yourself or drive it up to new jersey and i'll do it for you for nothing ha ha ha
no its replacement seat covers. you take off the cloth and replace it with leather.
OH........yeah i dont know how to do that lol.....uhh....take it to an appolstry shop or a custom stop where they do body work and customize cars
to my knowledge, i believe you are supposed to take the etire seats out to make it easier to work with. Then you just remove some hardware, and slip the cloth off and leather on like a glove.... ive heard its good to have a heat gun, which makes the leather seats a little more stretchable... thats all i know, im sure there is more to it than that, but if i were you, id save my money and atleast try it myself, surely a little trial and error on a weekend end would yeild a good looking product. Alos, on the console, let me know how that works out for ya, im intrested in the same thing, get us some pictures on here asap!

The seats are do-able... It can just be a major PIA. The leather will fit TIGHT. I swapped interiors on my old truck, and the only thing I had to buy were hog rings and hog ring plyers. Remove the seats from the truck and then you'll see where the old hog rings are. Just get some snips and cut the old ones out, then once the old cloth is off, wrestle with the new leather to get it on and re-do all the hog rings. It took me about 2 evenings. But it could be done in a day easy

The install is pretty straight forward. There are a few well written 04-08 installs on this board if you search. They will be very similar for the 09+ up models.
One tip, your in florida, just leave your covers layed out at least four or so hours in the sun prior to installing them. it warms them up and makes them stretchy and pliable. it makes the install just that much easier.
If you feel you just cant handle it a shop will probably charge from 300 to 600 to install and youll be out of a truck for two days. Of you do it yourself you can start at the rear and slowly learn then knock out the front buckets and console in a few hours. I did mine in three days working only an hour or two after work. Did the rear seats one afternoon, installed them the next day then removed the pass seat. DId that and removed the console the day after that. The last day i installed the console and removed, covered and installed the driver seat. I have the center jump seat so that was the hardest to cover. It was tight and i had to really stretch my leather. I also did NOT warm them up previously and it was the middle of winter. The covers fit just like factory and everyone thinks i had factory leather in my truck.
