Anyone know if the shifter assembly from the '09s+ will fit the '04-'08s? The shift handle looks way better and no chrome cap!

Mine came off over a year ago. Went to my dealership and you do have to replace the whole shifter assembly. They told me to use silicone to secure the original cap I had on the shifter. Apparently, the silicone expands and contracts with the temperature changes unlike glues.

I followed their directions and never had a problem since.

The part # for the leather Lariat Handle alone w/the chrome cap is 5L3Z-7213-T $48.00 through Tasca Parts. You don't have to replace the whole shift assembly.
