i effed with the clothes hangers for about 3 hours and couldn't get it to come out

i went to best buy and bought some for like 10 bucks but then went to walmart and found them for like 4 so i'd just go to walmart and spend 4 bucks on them...there worth it

yea you can use metal hangers but you are gonna have to be patient and keep re bending them til you get the right angle and all that. IMO it would be worth a run to walmart to buy the removal tool. and the "connector" you are talking about i assume is the wiring harness adapter right? they have those at walmart also, like 10 bucks i think.

good luck.

also it might help if you have a grinder to grind down the edges of the coat hanger a lil bit...i wanted to try that but i didn't have a grinder in town with me

can you do a write up on your install? i've been wanting to do a double din install in my truck, but everytime i search, seems like the only things that come up are for the 04+ body. i sent a pm to someone on another forum about his install & all he replied was that you had to do some "grinding". he didnt give any other info than that.

yes, good idea.

i found something on it in another forum by googling around, but it didnt show any install pics at all, just showed the finished product.

ill take a bunch of pics and well turn it into a how to.

i didnt know they sold the tool at walmart. if my local one doesnt have it maybe i can find it at walmart.com and do site to store shipping.

thanks for the info

should be next weekend. im tracking the package and it should be here tuesday im thinking

lol. ive seen the documentary "walmart- the high cost of low prices". anyone who reads this who hasnt seen it, watch it.

but dont bring that bull**** into my thread bro.

its called big business, and yes its sad, but its part of america. bottom line is, mom and pop charged more, so they could make more.

walmart charges less, so they can sell more, so they can open more stores, so they can make more.

dont hate sam walton or whatever his name was, because he had a better idea than mom and pop.

walmart was a mom and pop store.
now it eats mom and pop stores for breakfast, then wipes its *** with cheap imported toilet paper.

i buy everything i can online. if i cant find it used on ebay, or if i really want something new, i google it, then select "shopping". then i sort it by price.

then i go to ebay, and search for it, and sort it by price plus shipping.

so does this make me a monster because i dont go to mom and pop and pay too much because for some reason i should care if mom and pop pay their bills or not based on wether or not i want to save money?

do i care if walmart mistreats employees that CHOOSE to keep working there?

the only thing i care about is you bringing that bull**** into my thread.

oh and also, for groceries, i go to the PX here on post. the commissary here on post charges COST plus 5%.

that 5% profit they make goes into MWR programs, and building other commissary and updating old ones.

so i will continue to do that until i can buy groceries on ebay.
