Jumpseat to Console conversion

I just bought a 2008 F150 and it has the center jumpseat instead of a console... I'd prefer a console

I noticed that the seat isn't actually attached to the driver seat like I've seen on some vehicles...so my main question is will it be easy to convert over?? just unbolt the seat and bolt in a console?

Any idea where I could get a good condition grey center console? Or does anyone want to trade?

I just did the same thing. All you have to do is remove the jump seat and bolt in the console. It uses the same bolt locations. Easiest place to find one is E-bay.

Here is one on e-bay:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2007-...spagenameZWDVW

I got mine from the same seller. Mine didn't have any scratches or anything on it. Others have not been as lucky but I know numerous people have gotten theirs from there.

Thanks..I tried searching earlier but couldn't find any!

My truck only has 60 miles on it though..i'd rather not put a scratched up console in it

Ditto for me. Hope he didn't run out for your sake. I got one from him and made the swap in Dec. before I headed to the desert. It was in perfect shape and an easy swap, bolts right in. Good luck!

i just got mine a week ago. its a great mod and a pretty simple installation. just make sure you have a t-50 torx bit and a breaker bar those bolts are in tight.

i got mine from the same seller on ebay, it was a bit dirty but it was in damn good condition. even smelled "new"

couldnt be happier

Good read. My truck had the regular jumpseat w/o the junk bun/cup holders and I purchased a used jumpseat off ebay with the bin and cupholders. My seats are the light grey but the jumpseat I got is the darker grey, matches the middle part of the dash. If I can find a light grey one I'll swap it in.

Just to add, I got my console from the same ebay seller last year and it was in mint condition.

Furthermore, I've been considering this swap for some time, and plan to go through that guy.

Almost laid down 1500$ for a complete King Ranch interior (EVERYTHING!) but I'd rather not be a poser - and it's a lot of money....

The worst you could get is "creased" leather which after sitting in your truck for a while will go away.

i did the center console switch to. i got mine off ebay and the seller said there might be slight damage like scratches and what not. i had one scratch on the entire thing. looks brand new. id do it, it makes it look much better than that seat imo.
