Rattle in headliner??

I've got a new 07 supercrew FX4... Bought it in sept. and have noticed noises/rattling whenever I hit small bumps in the road or go over RR tracks. The noise / rattling is coming from just above the dome light. I can take my hand and lightly push up on the light and there is some play there. Is this normal? I have the sunroof if that makes a difference. I was thinking perhaps something came loose? Should I take up this issue with the dealer? Or should I do something on my own? Thanks for any help...

try to check your headliner first. It could be that there is something loose somewhere. Anyways, while searching the net for some auto body parts, I came across with this article regarding Headliner fix - thought might help you.

Anyways, if you're not sure on what to do, ask some help from someone who knows the job to avoid other problem.

Good luck and keep us posted.

I had the same problem which was caused by a gap between the headliner and the roof. There is a TSB about this and would be a quick fix at the dealer. I personally don't like anyone else working on my ride so fixed the problem myself. Took about 20 minutes to remove the dome light and place a couple of carpet strips between the headliner and the roof...problem solved. Here is a link that might also help https://www.f150online.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=210360
