wires under seat

I have a 2006 XLT with manual seats. I was looking under the seat the other day and noticed that there is a wire harness that plugs in the bottom of the seat. Does anyone know what they are for? There's one on each seat. I don't have power seats or seat heaters, so I have no idea what they are for. Thanks.

I think they are prewired for the power seats.

I have the same thing-I believe they are for the seat belt warning chime.

If you notice the chime goes off until you snap the seat belt on...

That makes sense. I did't think about that. Thanks!

And the passenger seat also has a weight sensor that turns off the airbag if there is a small object in the seat and sounds the seatbelt reminder if a passenger is in the seat without the seatbelt latched.
