converting 60/40 to seats

anyone here do this? i am looking to get an expedition console and looking to convert my bench to captains chairs.

(sure i could buy a set of captains chairs but not as easy/often to find in canada as cheap as the states so going this route)

i know there are how to's on a few sites and on here... and have read them all

i know i need to basically cut my center portion out, re sow them together, and get misc hardware pieces to replace the current bench ones...

but does anyone know the proper part numbers for the peices i need to make this happen on my 98?

I'd love to just take out my 60/40 bench and get a matching color leather captains chairs with center console.

are you referring to the sliders on the bottom of the chairs? you being fairly vague in what parts your looking for. have you tried the junk yards in your area?

Check out my Expy console FAQ page in my signature. I have a whole write-up about converting from 60/40 to buckets.

have read it:
The adjustment handle was backwards (possibly for the left seat?) but he drilled some new holes and made it fit. The seat pan seemed a little small for the foam cushion but worked OK.
but those are not the proper parts... sao wondering what people have done / used...

its a common discussion i know that many have done, but no one truly discusses other then saying to look at that walk faq page or say bring to upolstry place

Not trying to steal the thread, but I am thinking about doing the same thing. I've read your write up and most of the links before blueflareside. Great info! My question is where can I find a good expy console for a good price?
