Seat Swap in a 99 Scab
Seat Swap in a 99 Scab
I searched the forum with no luck in finding an answer.
I want to get rid of these seats:

and replace with this type of seat:

My challenges are the existing mounting holes that aren't showing through the carpet (I hope they are there) and feeling around for the power lead on the driver's side if I do get a powered seat.
What I am not sure about is what I would do with the existing seatbelt setup in my 99 as they mount just behind the doors and down on the floor. The seats I have pictured come out of a 2003 F150 where the seatbelts are integrated into the seat.
Maybe I just go with this style but in bucket with a center console?

Any advice is much appreciated or a point in the direction of another thread that already has this detail.

where are the pics?
The holes should be there unless you are going from a 60% to a 40% seat on the passenger side...
You will have to make a power seat harness, nothing hard, i did it on my friends chevy half ton.

Are the pics not showing for everyone? Or just pulling up slow?
Right now I want the take the 60 side and convert to a 40 so that I will end up with two buckets (40/40) and a center console (20). I read in a couple threads that on an XLT, the existing mounting holes are usually under the carpet, just a matter of poking a hole.

If you can find a cheap set online or in a junk yard go for it! Had I not traded mine I would have done it.
