changing from bench to buckets

I have a 97' 4WD with a 5 speed so the shifter is on the floor.

Can I search the junk yards for a totalled F150 with buckets and switch out the bench seat for buckets or will the shifter get in the way of the console?

Any thoughts or experiences doing this? Do the right and left existing holes line up? Probably not?

I just did the opposite. The holes should work, but you'll need a bucket carpet, and the studs for the front console mount to the floor. Also beware of harness differences for electric seats. Funny thing, I have a nice bucket grey carpet on the shelf out of my '03 supercab auto. I'm fairly sure the shifter area could be cut out if you find a carpet from an automatic.

I really want to lose the 60 part of my seat and go to a passenger side bucket and a center console from an F or an Expy I guess? Anyone have part #s on the passenger seat? Also if I find a wrecked one would just the seat bottom frame work with my existing seat back? (I have the integrated seat belts and all the buckets I see on eBay are the old standard style seat belts).

I want to do the same thing. I've got that plastic-lined flooring (much easier to clean IMO) and I'd like to get 2 captains chairs or something that match my graphite interior.
