I have to run mine on max, if the air coming in is 95, it only cools to about 90.

I have ridden in several late Ford pickups and the air just does not cool very well. In the Texas heat, it takes a while to cool a Screw.

I wish I knew a way to just improve the smell inside my truck period. It doesn't stink, but I really like to spray Febreze on the seats. The only problem is I think the Febreze smell lasts about one day and it's gone. I hate the smell of cheap auto air scents, but there just isn't much out there. I'll have to try the AC/Vent trick...

Yes, similiar deal in Florida.

My wife drives my truck on the weekdays, and always complains about how long it takes to actually cool off..

Bottom Line:

Max A/C recirculates inside air.
A/C cools outside air.

Drive around with Max A/C, but before you shut the truck off when parking or overnight, switch it to regular A/C so that the A/C system can "breath" and not get mildew or stuffy.

Since it already smells, you may need to drive around with just regular A/C so that the system can "dry" out.

Exclamation

I went to an upholstry shop yesterday and got a can of "something" that is a disenfectant <= can't speel!

It's a fogger! You pop the top, close the truck up and walk away for an hour! It kills all the germs that are cauing the smell.

The shop uses it on cars that have had rats in them, dead people, and all kinds of funky smells and it works! They also told me to lysol everything occaisonall and that will keep the smells from forming!
