Best way to CLEAN plastic trim?

I have an 05 Lariat.. I use Meguiars detailer.

I have a few spots that I need to clean the plastic, not shine it. What is best to use to clean? Just soap/water?

I've always used the hand cleaner that mechanics use...like Go Joe's hand cleaner and a toothbrush....it'll get rid of just about any grease/oil dirt that has accumulated in the little "grain" of the plastic....try it...I bet you'll like it...

Im gonna have to try that. Are you talking about interior use too? Do you just use a wet rag to rinse the plastic? I got some crap to get off the inside of the door.

Yes...use a damp rag to get up the old crud.....it also works pretty well on carpets....don't think I'd use it on these newer style seats though....I really don't like them....they are super hard to clean....

We Use a product in our detailing dept. called Foam Away. It's made by Vesco. The stuff does everything from cleaning vinyl and leather, to cleaning carpet. Most dealerships in Michigan use Vesco products, but not sure about there Regional or National distribution though..
