Aftermarket vs OEM Catch-All Floormats
Aftermarket vs OEM Catch-All Floormats
I have noticed in pictures on the board that the OEM "F-Series" Ford-branded Catch-All floor mats are cut-out for the rubber pad on the floor:

Are the aftermarket ones sold under the Catch-All brand name the same way or do they extend all the way up and over that rubber pad?
I like that the OEM ones use that factory hook to keep them in place, but I almost always put my left foor up farther than they look like they go.
I have been unsuccessful in locating a photo of the Aftermarket ones in an F150. Also, can someone give me some detail photos of how the aftermarket ones attach to the carpet? I know it uses some sort of hold-down but I don't really want to punch holes into the carpet.

I just looked at a set we have in stock & they cover that rubber piece up. They are alot bigger & they still have the hole in them to attach to the factory prong on the drivers side. They come with some plastic screws that clip into them & thread into your carpet. Then you put caps over them. The charcoal ones look grey.
Hey, those are my mats in that picture.
I agree that the cut out is very annoying. It almost takes away from what the mats were designed to do and that is to protect your carpet. My foot tends to like to sit in that spot too. I didn't check into the regular aftermarket mats made by catch all. I bought those from a dealer in Texas. I wanted to find something that would provide more protection than the factory, while still retaining the factory look. I think that overall I have succeeded, but if I decide to go duck hunting in my truck I either put a towel down to help cover up that spot or I just try and pay more attention to where my foot runs off to. The passenger side is ideal and covers the full area. I think that those were worth the money and I will buy catch all products for all of my trucks in the future.

Do those aftermarket ones have the same hole as the "F-Series" logo-ed ones above (raised edge with gromet)? IF so, thats what I will order. I don't especially care about the F-Series logo (although it would be nice), I just don't really want to use those screw-in/snap-on attachments if I don't have to.
I have been told by several people that the "Charcol" ones are a perfect match to Dark Graphite carpet.
irhogfan,
I couldn't remember who I stole that photo from.
Nice photo!
They have the hole on the drivers side over on the left hand side of the mat. The same location as your stock ones. Yes the charcoal will match your interior. I have the same interior as you do except my Sport truck is red. If i have time in the morning i will snap a pic of them. If you want to order a set give me a call. 800-517-1035 ext 6225.
