I have a 2014 FX4 Screw with the factory HIDs. Headlights are aimed just as they came from the factory. What I've noticed is that when I am in traffic beside or when passing another car the passenger side headlamp really seems to throw excess light into the car's driver side mirror. On multiple occasions, when sitting in traffic I've noticed that the other driver will put their hand up on the side glass to block out the reflection of my light.
For those of you who have the factory HIDs, have you experienced this? I don't know that there's a lot I can do about it, as the lights are factory aimed but sometimes I do feel bad for the other guy.

 

It's just the step in the cut off. It's how projectors work in low beam. Can't do anything about it besides lower both lights, but then you be stuck driving with you low beams only seeing 50' in front of you. Are you leveled or anything?

 

Nope, bone stock.

Lowering isn't really an option, since as you said I'd only light up the road 50' in front of me.

I guess I'll just have to live with blinding a few sideview mirrors every now and then.

 

Ya cause honestly how often are you to the left of people. And it's usually when passing so only back there for a couple seconds. You'll be fine.

 

You have a 2" spacer lift by chance? Or is it still stock suspension?

If it's smaller cars, can't complain too much, just a difference in vehicle height

I'm guessing because the HIDs are more of a focused light beam I've never experienced it with any of my previous vehicles. That and the height difference of the F150 compared to the Rangers.

I'll live with it.
