How To Video on Upgrading 2015/2016 Lights

For those who are looking to upgrade the stock halogen lights on their 2015/2016 F-150s to LED... here is a how-to video on how to remove he Headlight housing to perform the upgrade.

On the 2015/2016 it's not as easy to change out the bulbs, thus the video. This video specifically uses the kit's available at 4x4TruckLEDs but will work for regular halogen lights (since there is no driver/ballast naturally, just skip that part)

Just like the past two threads have stated: anyone looking to do this should keep in mind LEDs will not preform better in a stock housing that's meant for a halogen bulb.

Your light output won't be as good and you'll have a lot of glare blinding other drivers.

This ^
Best two options if you want better output. Upgrade to the OEM LED housings there are already adapter harnesses out there or projector retrofit.
Sorry 4x4truckLEDs just warning people not knocking your product

Actually my kits DO NOT blind drivers and DO provide a LOT more light output. They are higher quality kits then just standard LED bulbs. They offer the end-user the ability to adjust the beam pattern.

That's good to know. But it's still an led being placed in a housing made specifically for a halogen bulb.

This is that happens when you install LEDs in halogen housings.

That's what happens when you install cheap LED bulbs in a halogen lamp... this is what happens when you install quality LED lights in a halogen lamp:

I'm sorry but I don't buy this. LEDs are LEDs and they do not work properly in a housing made for halogen headlights.

Sorry you don't "buy" it but those are real world photos. I'm sorry that my photos show that the lights are not blinding in anyway and do not scatter, like the other photo you posted of the "cheap" bulbs. Maybe you should do a little more research and try out "quality" products before you come, hijack someones thread and try and claim all LED lights suck.

Your photos don't show that they're not causing glare. They don't show much except for what lariat02 pointed out.

LEDs don't suck. I never said that. LEDs in headlight housings made for halogen bulbs are a waste of money. You're not upgrading when doing so.

If you want LEDs on a 2016 F150, get one with factory LEDs.

I do use quality products it's called a proper retrofit using Lexus RX350 projectors , matusush-i-ta ballasts, and osram bulbs.

I'm happy for you. Thank you for your contribution to my "how to video" thread about changing out light bulbs on the 15/16 truck.
