Hey all!! Can anyone tell me where I can get an H1 bulb socket for an 03? I cannot, for the life of me, find it. Everywhere I go just wants to give me the bulb. I need the actual 90 degree socket. Mine fell out, dragged on the road and tore it up. Thanks in advance!!

 

Your fog light socket isn't H1 it's 9145 and you can pick them up at any auto parts store. You can use one for a 9005 they are built stronger and are the same plug.

 

That's what the auto parts store keeps telling me but it's not. I even took off the bulb and socket and showed it to them. They were surprised too and tried to look for it, but no go. It just kept coming up with the H1 bulb, no socket. Both of my fog lights are like that and have that connector to an H1 bulb and socket

 

Do you have the Harley or STX round fogs? I think those came with H1. Do you have a picture of the bulb and socket you currently have?

 

This is the one I have and had to order to replace after hitting a deer. It came with an H1 Bulb and socket. I'll take a pic in a bit and upload.

On ya Harley ones. I guess they must come H1. Didn't know that. Figured they would stay with 9145. Hopefully some guys with the Harley trucks will chime in

If you buy the one that is a pigtail it'll come set up with wires. You just have to cut the old plug off and crimp this one on.

 

Ok. I just got the H1 connector. It seems to come with everything I need. Is the pigtail the female connector?

 

Pigtail is just the wiring. I can never remember which one you need. It is all determined by the metal pins not the plastic plug. If it has a rod pin its a male if it has a round pin with a hole in the middle it's female......

Ya according to Raptors bulb guide the HD will have a H1 bulb. But that plug isn't a H1 it's like a weird hybrid.
And the STX is a 9145

 

Lol...exactly. That's what came with my fog lights. So, am I looking at 9145 or something else?
