Sonar headlights

Okay so bit the bullet and bought them. I forgot to check and besides removing the headlight again does any one know what the low and high been bulbs are in the sonar projector halo headlights for an 03 f-150 ? I have a brush guard that I have to take off in order to remove the headlight so if ISO t have to I really don't want to. Thanks again for the help ! P.s. I emailed the company I bought them from and they said the low beam is an H3 and the highs are 9005 but my dad said that he removed the low beam and check it while they weren't in the truck yet and said it was a 9005 so is it possible to have the bulbs back words because I was looking up different bulbs and it says the 9005 will not hook up to our trucks ? Thanks !!

9005 won't work for stock housings, but those aftermarket projectors that use dual bulbs usually don't stick with the 9007.

Just because a 9005 is not listed as the OEM / stock bulb for a vehicle doesn't mean it won't "work" in it. It's still a 12 volt bulb and in the right housing, it will work. (And it will not work in the OEM housing.) I would assume your aftermarket housings were designed for 9005 bulbs. This does indicate that you might be in for some wiring modifications though.

As for your other questions, I'm going to pass since you're about to find out why the cheap Chinese aftermarket stuff is so cheap.

Still went and bought those junk lights after everyone has told you how bad they are haha. Wow
Those lights should have came with a wiring harness to convert from 9007 to the H3 (those are fog light bulbs BTW) and the 9005. If no harness you are SOL. Good luck.

Well? We're you able to get them installed yet? How was the fit, and the light output?

Hopefully they were what you wanted.

Needed up melting the lenses in from of the high beams with stock halogen bulbs. So I contacted the company and they refunded me and I took the money and am getting retrofits made for the truck.

The funny thing is, the next person who posts about these looking for feedback you will be right there with the rest of us warning them, and they won’t listen either. Lol Live and learn. Atleast you got a refund.

That's always a plus. Good luck with the retrofit. If you are doing yourself we are always here to answer questions.
