DON'T BUY THE RECONS. I can't stress this enough. I had them on my '10 FX2. They look sweet at first, but after a year, the clear protective film over them will begin to peel and you will get thousands of tiny scratches all over them. The light output is horrendous. 10x worse than the stock heads with halogens. Other people on here will suggest a retrofit. I personally have never done one so I can't speak to quality of them, but I do have stock HIDs on my 2013 KR and they are FANTASTIC. From what I've seen on this forum, if you want something that looks good and has the best light output, do a proper retrofit.

And just for emphasis, DO NOT BUY THE RECONS! Overpriced and horrible quality. Worst $400 and some dollars I've ever spent.

Why don't you like HID capsules. Yes in a reflector housing they glare and blind. But done right with a retrofit in a bi-xenon projector they are like : drool: is that too many .. I think not....

OEM HIDs will out last halogens. Granted after 2 years the lumens output decreases a good amount but such is life ha. After two years on halogens they are about shot. They might still light up but their isn't much life left in then.
If I had to choose HID or halogen again i would pick HIDs again.. Actually I have that same chance to choose with my new truck.

You don't have to have halo's if you don't want. You can customize a retrofit however you want. To the way YOU like it.

If i do a retrofit, would HID's make it alot more expensive?

No, thats the main thing i want. I like the look of projectors/HIDs and Halos. I just dont like the slotted halos. I like the solid ring.
