Halo's or No?

Doing a Retro with Mini H1s to my heads and Matchboxes to my fogs. I broke one of the CCFL for the Matchboxes and haven't decided on ordering a new one or not yet.

What's the feeling on halos?

Like this for the heads

and this for the fogs (no halo around the turn signal)

If doing the fogs don't use CCFL, use LED's. So just use LED's for heads and fogs to match. I had the RetroFitSource CCFL break in both fogs in only a couple of months. Mind you my CCFL was inside the projector shrouds. I then went with RetroSolutions CCFL because they are encased in a plastic (way stronger). Anyway those went out as well, but I never looked at why and it might just be the transformer. The only thing I can think of is there is to much vibration in the fogs that crack the CCFL or at least if they are mounted inside the shroud like mine were.

Well, ol' Bubba sorta answered this long ago thus:

"Do ah git Hey-Lo's
An' look like a fahg
Er add lotsa Led strips
Like ricer doochbags?"

Excerpted from the Retrofit Blues series of prose: https://www.f150online.com/forums/4970640-post68.html

Hence, Voted accordingly.

FWIW - they need to be done right - with some modicum of restraint and taste - - two hidden rings, well, okay. Four to six with kaleidoscopic light shows? Patently ghey.

Go with xbALeds

Tiny Led strips are silly as well - places you firmly in Ricerville, USA.

Good luck with the Retro.

Cheers

Got the matchboxes done last night. No Halos. I'll wire up the headlights, if it looks bad I'll just unplug them.
