Hey guys I am looking to replace my oem head and fog lights. Looking at the spyder Halo LED smoked headlights an the spyder LED fog lights. What are y'all's opinions on these lights and tips on wiring and mounting? Thanks

Spyder lights are junk. With horrible fitment and horrible output. Led fogs will be for looks because leds won't have any more output then halogens.

It is a guess at best that these will have less lumen output than halogens, without knowing the lumen output of the unit.

I took a look, could not find the lumen output straight away.

Some LED light heads have more lumen output than the same size of a reflector unit with halogen bulbs.

Might want to hunt around and find out what the lumen output of the unit is, and keep in mind the halogen bulb alone is not the same lumen output in the light head.

Dad has my old 2001 as a work truck, and I installed a set of aftermarket Lightning headlamps I bought from a member here ( think they are Depo ?? ) with Silver Sylvania SilverStar Ultra bulbs.
- What a difference to the factory fluted lens headlamps on the std F150.

This is a direct swap of the headlamp housing, and the bulbs are the factory current draw, so no additional wiring required.
- Using a 12 AWG relay harness to the std bulbs will help any halogen bulb out, but the increase is not worth the modification to some. YMMV

The fog lamps, what are you trying to get out of them beam pattern wise ?
- They are fog lamps, they are not going to reach down the road very far. Fog lamp pattern is made to be low and wide.

I'm just looking to get new dogs that will give off the same color light but want new housing as well bc my fog lenses are cracked and one leaks causing water to bust the bulb

I know that Whelen makes replacement Fog lights that are LED they look pretty sick and are super bright. I can only assume they are pretty pricey.
