You could just rewire the foglights.

camopaint0707 has the correct basic idea, some call it Bambi mod.

Here is a thread I did some time back that uses crimp terminals instead of bending the pin around.

While you're able to do it, I would suggest you dont. There is a reason they are disabled. If you think you are going to see better- you are mistaken. It will hurt your high beam performance.

Throw the fogs away and get a set of real driving lights unless you actually need "fog" lights because of where you live and the weather. Back in the day when I was rallying in NJ with my MGA and TR4A, I had one of each... a true fog and a true driving light. Some guys would mount four (2+2) but I thought it looked like crap. They were individually wired and since rallying was close to "off-road" use nobody gave you static back then. In fact many cars were fitted with driver/passenger-aimed spotlights that mounted thru the windshield column just like police use, and that was legal too.

Of course... I yield to today's experts on lighting... maybe a good set of projectors are better than a driving light?

I think it may be illegal in Texas.

Illegal in every state that I know of but enforcement is spotty and also selective.

Also all the "experts" say not to use high beams in fog so that's why they're wired to turn off when high beams are on.

IL law a fog lamp can be used with oncoming traffic, but they have to go off with high beams. That is how the delta from Fog to driving / aux lamps are is indicated in IL ( all Aux lamps need to be turned off with oncoming traffic, but fog lamps are the exception is a quick paraphrase of the law ).

Like Raptor said, you're actually hurting your visibility by doing this. The point of the high beams is to illuminate further out. With the fogs on, you're just "washing" your eyes out by illuminating the ground right in front of you making your eyes focus on that.

someone just get the man the info he wants and let him make the decision. OP, I have the bambi mod and love it. I can see perfectly fine with brights and fogs on at the same time

In dry, clear weather, the "Bambi" mode wouldn't hurt your vision but in rain, fog, or driving snow regular lights with fogs would be better for your vision. Likewise, in clear weather _driving_ lights augmenting your brights doesn't hurt your vision either regardless of whether you have separate fogs and they are on. And of course, this assumes you don't have any traffic coming at you. Common courtesy would be to revert to normal lights.

This is pseudo science.

Your eyes are going to focus where you look.

Factory high beams still illuminate in front of the vehicle, so I guess by the comments above, factory high beams are crap.

Ever wonder why Dakar racers have multi beams type on at the same time ?
