Can anybody tell me if the 2013 F150 that have the HIDs be programmed to have the daytime running lights like the previous models?

 

Yes, they are required by Canadian law. For the HID models, the lights themselves just turn on.

 

I found out today from my buddy who has a 2013 said that the running lights are on through the parking light if equipped. That comes from the owners manual. So the question still remains is it programmable thing or is it something added at the factory for the Canadians?

 

It is programmable, Ford just enables it for trucks being shipped to Canada
