If you put 35W bulbs to a 55W ballast, you are going to overdrive the bulbs. Its a good idea to keep them matched.

And no, HIDs draw less amperage than stock halgoens,

Some great info in here. The FX-R install wasn't "easy" but I can't wait to see my output. Waiting for my new Harness to come in from TRS

I thought the stock halogens on my truck were 45w or something around there, good to know I'm wrong and 50w won't be a problem
