My projectors are done!

I got my projectors back from Black Flame Customs yesterday! I installed them today, and thought I would give you guys the specs, and show you how they turned out! Black Flame does really great work, and I am extremely pleased so far. I have yet to see them at night, but I have no doubt that I’ll be happy. Here’s the spec sheet…
Factory Harley Davidson Edition housings
FX-R Projectors
Gloss black Apollo shrouds
Morimoto 3Five, 6,000K bulbs
Morimoto 3Five, 35w Ballasts
White CCFL halos inside the shrouds

Here are some pictures with them installed!

And here are a couple with them on during the daytime. Can’t tell much obviously, but what the hell. lol

I had them paint the shroud, but leave the factory reflector bowl chrome so that they would keep a factory “Harley” look to them. On the factory Harley lights, the bulb cap is black, which reflects a little bit of black into the housing to give the whole housing a smoked look. Here is a picture of a factory housing to help show what I mean.

heck yeah man! I'm sending mine to black flame next week.

i got the FX-R with morimoto 35w ballast and morimoto 35w 6k bulbs too but i got the E-55R shroud. I am not going to have them paint my reflective housing either but i am going to have them smoke the amber side markers. they are going in an extra set of 2010 FX2 housings i bought.

cant wait to see pics of yours at night and im glad to hear that black flame treated you right. they were quick to get back to me and their website shows a lot of conversions they have done so they seemed to be the ones to go with. if you don't mind PM what they ended up charging you. my quote from them was way cheaper than what lightwerkz gave me.

oh and just FYI you can get a bulb for the front parking lamps that is clear but burns orange and you wont see all that orange back in there during the day.

I have considered switchbacks too actually. I'm just worried about resistors and all that jazz. Thanks for the link!

i've read that few 2009+ f150s didn't even need them but I cannot verify for sure on that. If you do need resistors they are pretty much a no brainer once you figure out which wire is your ground and which wire makes them flash; just a couple wire taps, mount them to a metal surface, and make sure nothing will touch them cause they do get pretty warm.

Looks awesome! Love the black shroud with the Harley heads, really ties all the black together.

Just hit me; why did you switch to the offset license plate if you have the 5.0?

Looks good. How did they go about aiming your projectors since you're lifted?

I will have output pics soon! I was waiting on my 5Fives and 5000ks to come in. Just installed them today.

Yeah I switched tires a few months ago. Got tired of the look of the Mud Grapplers.

Because I'm planning to put a Rigid LED bar in the bumper slot, just haven't done it yet.

They go off the factory aim of the lights. I had to adjust them quite a bit still once I got them. They still adjust like factory lights.
