^ cool deal. I was under the impression from the guys who have done it themselves that once they were in the housing they were done and couldn't be adjusted anymore

They look pretty sick! I contact black flames and they quoted me $1150 for some retro fits. I have been trying to do a retrofit like raptor and everyone else, but I really don't have the time or skills to do it. What would be my next best option as far as headlight ouput? maybe just some HID's? Any help is aprreciated. Thank you

 

Socalgrifo don't get HID's unless you are going to use projectors. You will have better output from your stock bulbs.

 

On the 09+ trucks, the headlamp housing has a vertical adjustment. You can't adjust horizontally, but that should have been taken care of when they put the projector into the housing and matched it to the halogen bulb cut-off.

 

My 07 has headlight adjustment also.... unless you're saying the entire housing moves, and not just the bulb inside the housing.

I haven't seen any projectors that allow adjustment after they have been mounted, so I'm curious to see what they did to allow this

 

I once thought that also until raptor pointed it out and corrected me......the final adjustment before resealing the lense it the horizontal cut off......other than that its pretty much like the normal headlight up/down adjustment....

The mini morimoto kit uses the stock reflector bowl and the bulb hole as the base...

There's not really anything I can show you. They cut the hole in the reflector bowl and mounted them just like any other projector install. I can still adjust the headlight up and down with the factory adjustment screw!

This. Precisely. I have the FX-R projectors though, which require cutting a hole in the headlight. Same idea though!

This is with 50 watt Morimoto ballasts and 5,000k bulbs. Let me know what you guys think!

 

Here is a pic of how they look from the front. Pretty much pure white! In person, all you see is the projector lens, and very little light in the factory reflector bowl. There isn't near as much light in the bowl as it appears in the picture, but there is some.
