My projectors are done!
Nice pic, looks like you have the FXR 2.0 before they fixed the shield. The cutoff bows down pretty bad on the left side, right?
Yes it does. It actually makes a dark spot on the road that kinda bugs me. There's a dark square where the projectors merge on the road. You can kind of see the spot on the wall in between the steps in the cutoff.

If you raise the right one a little, it will help with this.
I just installed Type 1 switchbacks and a Tridon EP27 relay and have no problems with fast flashing or anything else so far.
Yeah, they still need some fine tuning anyway. Thanks!
Good to know! Thanks!

Those are just PnP on 04-08.....09+ is different with the BOW system.......resisters need to be added....
It really depends on what you want to do. Painting the reflective housing, smoking the amber lenses, angle eyes, LED strip, are all extra options.
Plan to spend about $325 for parts from www.theretrofitsource.com. That's is for the complete kit that includes ballasts, bulbs, relay harness, projectors, shrouds, and re-sealing glue.
If you plan on having somebody else do the retrofit Black Flame Customs comes highly recommended from a few members on here and quotes around $500-$600. That's who will be doing mine. Lightwerkz quoted me around $950 and I have never even heard of anybody using them so I wouldn't go that route.
If you plan on buying an extra set of headlamps to have retrofitted, so you can send them off for retrofit and still drive your truck, plan to spend about $200+ per unit from tascaparts.com for OEM.
This is a pricey mod but it is something that you use everyday, is a HUGE improvement performance wise, and on top of that it looks great too. You could even justify it by saying it makes driving at night safer.

Honestly do it yourself or with a friend. You'll learn a lot, save a ton of cash, and be proud of your work. People ask me all the time where I bought my headlights and when I tell them I took modded projectors out of a luxury car and rebuilt my headlights myself they are completely amazed and it usually turns into 15 minutes of questions/demos, etc.
