Could you show a close up of the headlights/fender area and the low and high beam pattern? Did you stick with the h1 bulbs in both lights or put HIDs in the projectors? What do you think about the output compared to the stick lights?

I will post more pics later of both beams. I stuck with the H1 bulbs..they are a 47K output, so it's not just crazy bright. My stock bulbs were 41K so I do notice a little improvement in brightness. I still need to make some adjustments on the aim, but overall I'm very pleased.

excuse me? do you mean 4700K? if so, the 4100K will be more luminous.. and for 450 plus shipping you could have purchased and paid someone to do the labor on a retrofit.

post some pics of output, i'm curious as to why these cost 450 when ebay ones are roughly 230 for the cheapest pair of the same style. silverstar ultra's will be your best bet to get the most out of these

I think I was a little off on my numbers. These are H1 style 4600K Xenon bulbs. I'm not entering the Dakar Rally, so I don't need ridiculous light output, or to be continually bright lighted by other drivers. I'm not sure I get the fascination with having a grill full of lights that are much brighter than necessary. I got them mainly because I like the styling, and I know 2 people who have them, and like them.

Nice, but I really want to see a set of proctor without the LEDs and halo rings.

H1's dont come in Ultras last time I checked, and even then the regular Silverstars are outclassed by the Sylvania XtraVisions or the even better Philips CrystalVision Ultras.

And OP, can you tell us if there are any manufacturing logos/writing on the lenses or back of the housings? Recon is notorious for importing chinese lights (same ones sold on eBay) and raising the price, calling them their own. So there's a chance you just spent $200 extra for no reason. I'm a little biased, but of you spent a dime over $350 on those things, you should've went for a retro if you want a clean, powerful light. IMHO (take with a grain of salt), the halos and LEDs are making the front end look too "busy" but if you like it, that's all that matters

I hear ya on that. Compared to your OEM H13 Sylvania bulbs that came with the truck (and ignoring the difference between light housings) you will see an increase in low beam output, but a significant loss in high beam output.

+1 on output shots. Is it possible to get low and high against a wall and low and high down the road?

You won't see an aftermarket set without them, but you can build our own for cheaper, and a lot better output too.

search a little on retrofitting hid projectors into your oem housings or aftermarket "oem style" housings. raptor has a thread on all the retofits with links to how-to's. once you start reading it will all fall into place and you'll be sold. lol i always thought they looked goofy but you can personalize the housing anyway you want really as far as whats painted/unpainted and what color scheme you go with to help blend the projector into the housing and the output is well worth looking a little "bug-eyed".

note: the beginning of this post has no intended sarcasm, just telling you the ways to go about looking into this mod. just wanted to clear that up in case i sounded rude.
