Finally, Retro heads and fogs installed

Well I have finally gotten some time to finish up my retrofit heads and got them installed today. I have had the fogs finished for 1 1/2 months and was just waiting to get the heads done to install them all at the same time. Now I just need to wait for it to get dark and see how they look.

The heads are FXR with 5000k D2S bulbs and the fogs are Mini D2S with same 5000K lamps all from The Retrofit Source.

Exact same setup, equipment, and bulbs that I have... you're gonna love it. Did you wire for quad high beam? If not, do it. That is the ultimate WOW.

I didn't get any pictures last night as I was a pretty disappointed with the color of the headlights. They seem to have a blue tint like they are a 6000K compared to the fogs which are a nice white. Both are 5000K but they where packaged in different style boxes so I want to get that fixed before I get a picture of the cutoffs as it just doesn't look right against my garage. Heres a head on picture from this morning when I was taking pictures of the tails for DarrenWS6 and you can see that the heads look blueish.

Yeah, I'm not a fan of blue headlights either. Work looks good though and I am super jealous. Do they not offer a 4300k?

They do have 4300K but I prefer the pure white of 5000k. Don't know why the fogs look right and the heads look blue.

Its probably the difference in projector. I'm assuming the same wattage on both? In my fathers car, we have 4300's in the fog projector and 6000's in the factory headlight projector to get them to match.

How hard was it to mod your foglights? I just burnt out my passenger pNp HID fog and am going to upgrade to some projectors.

With the Mini D2S projectors its kind of a pain to get them to fit. The fog light housings taper smaller the farther back you go so I had to grind the snot out of the projector housings and drill and tap new holes that mount the projector lens to the housing. I wouldn't recomend using the Mini D2S housings for that fact and I don't think many guys would be to thrilled about grinding on brand new projectors. A member here msal150 did his using the Mini H1 housings and I think only ground out the fog light housing to get them to fit.
